Terms of Use
The rules for using RemoteAI.
Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RemoteAI mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
RemoteAI is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Anthropic, PBC or any of their products or services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (16 in the European Economic Area). By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Your Account
Registration. You must create an account with a valid email address and password. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and relay token. Do not share your relay token — it grants access to your computer through the relay. Notify us immediately at support@remoteai.cloud if you believe your account has been compromised.
One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts or share your account credentials with others.
Account termination. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Manage → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
The Service
RemoteAI provides a terminal interface that helps you connect to your own computer and interact with software running on it, including AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and Codex CLI. The Service includes:
- Mobile apps (iOS and Android) and desktop apps (macOS and Linux; Windows coming soon) for terminal access
- A cloud relay that facilitates connection discovery, push notifications, and OAuth flows
- An agent installed on your computer that registers with the relay and hosts the terminal session
No AI processing. RemoteAI does not provide any AI capabilities. All AI processing is performed by the AI tools (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, or others) running on your own computer using your own API keys. Your use of those tools is governed separately by their respective providers' terms.
Availability. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the relay or any other part of the Service. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause downtime.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service to access any computer or system you do not own or have explicit permission to access
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the relay or authentication systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or any content that violates applicable law
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair our infrastructure
- Create accounts by automated means or impersonate any person or entity
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without notice.
In-App Purchases
RemoteAI offers optional one-time in-app purchases ("tips") as a way to support development. These are voluntary and do not unlock any gated functionality — all core features of the Service are available without payment.
Processing. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
No subscription. Tips are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew.
Refunds. Purchases are generally non-refundable. To request a refund, contact Apple Support at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are subject to Apple's policies and applicable consumer protection law.
Intellectual Property
The RemoteAI app, relay service, and all associated software, design, and branding are owned by RemoteAI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.
You retain full ownership of any code, data, or content that passes through the terminal during your sessions. We do not claim any rights over your work.
"Claude" and "Claude Code" are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. "Gemini" is a trademark of Google LLC. "Codex" is a trademark of OpenAI, Inc. Their use in the app and documentation is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully — it explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RemoteAI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of business — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RemoteAI and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Service relies on third-party services including Firebase, RevenueCat, Google Cloud, and Apple. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.
Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where possible. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. The updated Terms will be effective when posted. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which RemoteAI operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the applicable courts of that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring claims in your local courts and benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions in your jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.
